🌊North wind (northwest wind), lasting from November to March every year is the "golden season" for Mui Ne to attract a large number of international visitors to surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing or wingfoil. This time coincides with the peak inbound season (the season when international visitors come to Vietnam for tourism), creating a crowded scene of Western tourists on the coast of Mui Ne.

November is just the beginning. The peak falls in mid-December when European tourists take a winter break and Vietnam enters the Christmas - New Year - Lunar New Year festival chain, attracting tourists looking for long-term vacations, combined with conquering sea sports.

Mui Ne has a special terrain: the curved shoreline forms a small bay, blocking strong winds and rough waves, helping the sea surface to be gentle and stable, without strong disturbances. During the dry season, the wind maintains 30-40 km/h, the wave level is moderate, ideal for many sea sports.

This condition explains why Mui Ne has hosted many international competitions such as the PWA World Cup Windsurfing Championship 2011, the KTA Asia Kiteboarding Championship 2012, and a series of annual competitions. National Geographic magazine once praised Mui Ne as one of the top sea sports destinations in the region.

Among them, kitesurfing is still the sport that makes Mui Ne famous. Stable wind allows players to "fly" off the water, performing technical jumps. Surfing with waves that are not too big but long and steady enough, suitable for beginners and families, windsurfing and wingfoil require technique and stable medium to strong wind.

The number of visitors this season increased by about 20%, especially Russian visitors. The guests are mainly young people aged 16-45, focusing on kite surfing; when there is not enough wind for kite flying, they switch to surfing. About 40% of the guests are experienced players, the rest are new guests.

Mui Ne is not only located in nature but also in a relatively complete service ecosystem. From a small fishing village, Mui Ne National Tourist Area now has more than 600 accommodation establishments with nearly 18,000 rooms located along the "golden land" coastal strip, with 53 resorts concentrated on the 8km long Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street alone.

Along with that are night products such as art performances, fishing village tours, local cuisine... helping the experience of sports guests - who love variety - not be monotonous. The expressway helps shorten the travel time from Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast - Southwest region to Mui Ne, making this an easily accessible weekend destination.
